Highlands Canned Food Drive
Did you know that the Hawaii Food Bank provides 14 million pounds of food to the people in Hawaii? How does the Food Bank come up with this huge amount of food? They depend on the generosity of people like you. In honor of the coming holidays, please donate a can to the Highlands Canned Food Drive. A box has been sent to your Study Skills class. Fill it up!! Let's help end hunger in Hawaii!
The Hawaii State Department of Education (HIDOE) is encouraging students and staff to join a national movement for inclusive, nurturing learning for all. Wednesday, October 24, 2018 is designated as Unity Day and everyone is encouraged to wear orange as a simple statement of support for Kindness, Acceptance, and Aloha in our school communities.
Dress Down guidelines!
Applies to only the shirt —uniform bottoms mandatory)
Dress Up top/shirt must be solid ORANGE (imagery or prints OK)
Dress Up top/shirt top must adhere to uniform policy (straps must be 1+ inches, no inappropriate imagery/references, no exposed midriff or chest, etc...)
**IF YOU DO NOT WEAR AN ORANGE TOP/SHIRT THEN YOU ARE WEARING YOUR NORMAL HIGHLANDS UNIFORM T-SHIRT**
