Did you know that the Hawaii Food Bank provides 14 million pounds of food to the people in Hawaii?  How does the Food Bank come up with this huge amount of food?  They depend on the generosity of people like you.  In honor of the coming holidays, please donate a can to the Highlands Canned Food Drive.  A box has been sent to your Study Skills class.  Fill it up!!  Let's help end hunger in Hawaii!


Yearbook Club will be meeting today in A7 from 2:20-3:30.


Calling on any student who wants to be a chef or if you just enjoy cooking and eating ... we will be having a free, cooking class called, "Kids in the Kitchen," on Wednesday, November 8th from 1:30 p.m. to 2:40 p.m.  This workshop will be taught by Cyndy Pratt, a retired culinary instructor at Campbell High School.  If you are interested in learning how to make Gyoza, a Japanese dish consisting of wonton wrappers stuffed with pork and cabbage, see Ms. Gebs in the office for a permission form.  Seating is extremely limited and will be done on a first come, first served basis.


Halloween Door Decorating Contest
Starting today HR Representatives can go to the StuCo Room to get banner paper, paints, brushes and palletes for their Halloween Door Decorating Contest doors. HR Reps, make sure to get ideas from your HR, draw up plans and get your door done before TUE 10/31 -- judging is during Pr. 7. 煤spirit points to the winner, 10 spirit points just for participating! Doors will be judges on 3 criteria: Creativity, Craftsmanship and Fear Factor! Good luck in spreading the holiday “spirit”all over campus! 


Halloween Art Contest
Everyone is encouraged to enter! 100 spirit points to the winner of each category and 2 spirit points for every entry! كcategories to enter: 1.) Most Creative, 2.) Spookiest! and 3.) Highlands Haunted House 6: "The Call of Cthulhu!". Entries due no later than MON 10/23 3 pm to Mr. White. Winning entries will be displayed in the Front Office and the Main Courtyard


Highlands Haunted House 6: “The Call of Cthulhu!”
This is the best Highlands Haunt of them all —do not miss this ground-breaking, black light 3D event running next week only in the StuCo Room @ Recess + Lunch. Must show your ID to enter! Each Team has 1 specific day to enter: 
Wednesday 10/ 25 —Teams 1 + 2
Thursday 10/26 —Teams 3 + 4
Friday 10/27 —Teams A + B
Monday 10/30 —Teams C + D


Student Council Xmas Tree Fundraiser
Help sell Xmas trees and Xmas Wreaths to help make Highlands more super and more fun! All money will be used to make more activities for all of you this year! Xmas Tree Fundraising forms will be passed out during Pr. 7 on MoN 10/16. Please take them home to your parents —orders must be completed online by WED 10/25. Thank you!!!
