National Chemistry Week Illustrated Poem Contest

Congratulations to Jasmine Quach for winning Honorable Mention and a monetary prize in the National Chemistry Week Illustrated Poem Contest.  Winning posters will be on display at Kahala Mall across from California Pizza Kitchen on October 24-28.  On Saturday 28 Oct. from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, there will be fourteen tables with exciting demonstrations and hands-on activities at Kahala Mall in the area between Longs and Macy's.  Come and join the fun provided by students, educators and community representatives to celebrate National Chemistry Week.

    About Us

    ​Highlands Intermediate provides a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment that reflects the school's purpose and is characterized by the respect for differences, trust, caring, professionalism, support, and high expectations for each student. This environment promotes high expectations for student learning, student behavior, and student engagement. Middle level teaming provide activities outside of the class to promote bonding between students. Activities include field trips, incentive days, and team service learning. The Student Government plans school wide activities such as dances, class days, staff appreciation, fall and spring fests, and fundraising events for charities that promote leadership skills and service learning. Clubs, committees, and other student organizations also facilitate growth in leadership, community service, sports, academics, and special talent/gift areas.
