Pearl City High School 9th Grade Honors Program

Pearl City High School is offering all incoming freshmen an opportunity to apply for their 9th Grade Honors program. If you are interested, please pick-up an information packet and a Parent/Guardian Permission Form in the HIS front office. You will be required to attend the PCHS Honors Testing Session on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 from 1:50 - 4:00 in the HIS Cafeteria. Deadline to submit the permission form is Friday, January 16, 2015. to the HIS front office.

Door Decorating Contest Winners

Highlands Intermediate Science Club takes first place at the First Lego League Championship

Congratulations to the Highlands Science Club for taking the Grand Champion award and 2nd place for the Innovative Solution award at the First Lego League State Championship. The Highlands First Tech Challenge team placed 4th in the semi-finals for the FTC Challenge. Great job to all participants and we wish you well as the team travels to California in May to compete in the North America Championship.

Highlands Intermediate Spelling Bee

Congratulations to all participants in this year's Highlands Intermediate Spelling Bee. The competition and words were extremely tough, but in the end it was Shina Penaranda who triumphed as the 2014 HIS Spelling Bee Champ. Shina and 2nd Place winner, Katta Fujikawa, will represent Highlands at the District Spelling Bee.

Friday, December 19 is NOT a dress down day. Students must be in either the HIS uniform or Team Shirt.
